Shoe trends S/S 2022 - The new Gabor collection

Since its launch in 2020, the “Pius Gabor” shoe brand has been impressing customers with stylish, high-quality men’s shoes – a fashionable label for the mature, down-to-earth man. Each collection is based on specially selected materials, exceptional finish quality and outstanding comfort. Specially developed functional features such as Super Flex soles or latex footbeds guarantee maximum performance. 
Sustainability is a key topic: In S/S 22, the leather used in the uppers is 100% certified. The packaging is totally plastic-free and recyclable.  Pius Gabor shoes are available in UK half sizes from sizes 6 to 14 (roughly corresponds to European sizes 39 to 49.5). The price point of the collection ranges from €89.00 to €150.00. 

Much like the previous collections, the new S/S 22 collection is clean, yet versatile. Sportiness is the dominant theme, with a continued focus on sneakers for every occasion. Outdoor clothing, in particular, has found its way into the world of fashion. The addition of hiking sandals to the range is a clear indicator of this trend. Alongside classic colours, decidedly warm shades of mango and orange stand out. Sustainability is paired with timeless designs – a homage to nature.

Sneakers and sandals
The new collection epitomises the versatility of the sneaker, which is far more than just a casual shoe. It reflects the lifestyle of a man and is a reliable companion for occasions of all kinds. Sporty fashion sneakers are always a good choice. Coming in myriad shapes, colours and materials, they are a firm fixture in the business fashion range this season. Retro sneakers are also back and and boast eye-catching genuine crepe soles or linen insoles. In addition, some new models are geared towards urban hiking, combining urban street style with features of an outdoor shoe. Firm soles and elastic laces or Velcro instead of traditional laces provide added comfort. In keeping with this theme, Pius Gabor are also including hiking sandals in the S/S 22 range – a summery alternative to the sporty sneaker.

Colours and patterns
Say hello to this season’s invigorating new colours: intense yellow and orange. These aside, the colour spectrum retains a very natural feel. Neutral shades – such as light beige, grey and white – complement the strong colours of brown and blue. The theme of urban hiking is echoed in natural earth tones paired with dark olive. The simple shades take on added contrast with accents in aqua, orange or yellow which are also picked up in the soles in this collection. 

Materials 
Pius Gabor uses certified leather for the upper material, the majority of which is sourced from Portugal and Italy. Premium suede and nubuck are indicative of the quality of the collection. Velvety nubuck with a peach finish or suede combined with Italian balloon silk have a luxurious appeal. A material mix with breathable mesh is sporty and also ensures a balanced environment for your foot. Intricate ornamental seams highlight the workmanship of the shoes. There is a choice between a variety of linings: microfibre, leather lining or unlined for hot summer days.

Made from cork bark left over from bottle cork production, it ensures a pleasant and natural environment for your feet, while also insulating against heat and cold.

The new rollingsoft men’s shoes are also ready for the upcoming season. Based on the same technology as the successful women’s model, they combine the unique rollingsoft feel with a strong, appealing design for men. The focus in S/S 22 is on the understated colours of dark blue, grey, brown and sand.
