Definition
Cookies are small files that will be saved on your device; they store certain settings and data to be exchanged with GABOR Shoes AG’s system via your browser. We can generally differentiate between two types of cookies: session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser; and permanent cookies, which are stored on your device for a longer period. By saving cookies on your device, we can tailor our website to your needs and make it easier to use. When you visit our website (www.gabor.com) for the first time, you will be informed about the use of cookies via our cookie consent tool. You will be able to accept cookies, block all cookies or disable cookies for certain purposes.

Log files
Whenever you access the GABOR website, your usage data will be transmitted by your browser and stored in server log files. These log files will contain the following data: the date and time of access, the name of the pages accessed, your IP address, the referrer URL (the website from which you have been redirected to our website), the volume of data transmitted, and your browser’s product and version information.
Your IP address will be deleted or anonymised after each session. If your IP address is anonymised, it will be changed in such a way that specific details about your personal or factual circumstances can no longer be matched to you as an identified or identifiable natural person (or only with disproportionate amounts of time, money and human effort).
This data will be processed on the basis of point (f) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR and in the interest of reliably displaying our website and minimising faults.
These log file records will be evaluated anonymously to improve the GABOR website and make it more user-friendly, to accelerate our troubleshooting process, and to control our server capacities.
OpenStreetMaps
We use the open source map service "OpenStreetMaps" (also called "OSM") of the company OpenStreetMap Foundation, 132 Maney Hill Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B72 1JU, United Kingdom to display geo-data. OSM is used to provide an interactive map on our website that shows you how to find and reach us. This service enables us to present our website in an attractive way by loading map material from an external server.
The following data is transferred to the OSM servers during the display: the website you have visited and the information you have provided on street, postcode, city and country.
The legal basis for the processing of your data in relation to the "OSM" service is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO (legitimate interest in data processing). The legitimate interest results from our need for an appealing presentation of our online offer and the easy findability of the places indicated on our homepage.
You can find more information on the handling of user data in the OSM data protection declaration: https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
Whenever data processing activities are described, you will also find information on any data transfers to third parties or processors.
If personal data is transmitted to recipients in third countries outside the EU and the EU Commission has not published an adequacy decision for the third country concerned in accordance with Art. 45 GDPR, the data transfer will be subject to suitable safeguards in each case, as stipulated in Art. 46 GDPR; or, if necessary, your consent will be requested for certain purposes.
Your personal data will be transmitted securely using an appropriate encryption method. This applies to both your orders and customer log-in. GABOR uses the SSL encryption system (Secure Sockets Layer). Although the absolute protection of your data cannot be guaranteed, we will take technical and organisational measures to prevent your data from being lost, destroyed, accessed, modified or disclosed by unauthorised third parties.
You have the right to request confirmation as to whether your personal data is being processed. This being the case, you have the right to access any such personal data and the information detailed in Art. 15 GDPR.

You have the right to request the restriction of processing if any of the requirements listed in Art. 18 GDPR are met (e.g. if you have objected to processing) while we check your request.
You have the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes; you also have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to any processing carried out on the basis of points (e) or (f) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR (more detailed instructions can be found below).
You have the right to revoke any consent you may have given us, at any time, with future effect (right of revocation).
You have the right to receive any data you may have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You may also send this data to other bodies or have it sent by us (right to data portability).
