Shoe trends S/S 2022 - The new Gabor collection

Successful men's shoe brand "Pius Gabor" continues its focus on trainers and boots for the sophisticated, style-conscious man. Boasting high-quality materials, expert craftsmanship and incredible comfort, these styles stand out from the crowd. Functional features and materials from Gore Tex and Super Flex soles to latex footbeds ensure maximum performance. Sustainability is also a top priority at Pius Gabor, using predominantly certified leathers. Mid-soles made from all recycled cork provide excellent thermal insulation. The packaging is 100% plastic-free and fully recyclable. Pius Gabor is available in half sizes from 6 to 14 (corresponds approximately to EU size 39 to 49.5). 

The new A/W collection is built around natural tones, sustainability and craftsmanship. Cosy slippers made from recycled wool are new this season. There is also a large selection of trainers and boots inspired by urban hiking: urban street styles with elements taken from robust outdoor shoes. Life and nature are quieter in the colder months of the year, and this is reflected in the colours and design of the collection. A/W 22 celebrates shadowy grey along with a variety of browns and blues. The focus is on quality, timeless design and durability, with sustainability and conservation of resources at the core – slow fashion. 
 
Boots
This year, Pius Gabor is introducing a wide variety of new models. The autumn and winter boots boast both stylish design and practical function. Choose from smart city boots and robust walking boots with special technical features. Gore Tex keeps feet warm and dry even in cold, wet weather. High-tech soles with "Extra Grip" offer excellent slip-resistance, making them the perfect answer to icy roads or snow.

     
Trainers 
This season, trainers continue to be an integral element of stylish laid-back looks for both business and leisure. The different models allow for a wide range of styling possibilities. Smooth leather trainers work with the classic business look, while suede is a sporty option that catches the eye. 
Casual trainers with a wide shell sole are the standout styles of A/W 22 – monochrome designs with side zips fuse elegant looks with sporty comfort.
 
Colour and design
The colour palette reflects autumn in all its glory: a multitude of brown tones feels down to earth and close to nature, reminiscent of autumn leaves under the feet. In contrast, light sandy shades bring warmth and calm to the colder season. Dark blue and shadowy grey can also be found in the A/W collection. And black, as they say, is the new black – always a classic, expressive option. 
The colours are mostly combined tone on tone with details in shades that harmonise. The colours of the materials are often incorporated into the soles as well.

Materials 
Pius Gabor favours certified leathers from Portugal and Italy. The boots and trainers come with different lining options: microfibre, wool and leather. 
Smooth, supple leather is both elegant and durable. High-quality suede and nubuck leather underscore the natural look and are mixed with different materials or textiles for a casual, sporty finish. Parachute silk in particular creates an exciting contrast to the robust leather. 

Features 
It’s a special feeling, wearing Pius Gabor. This feeling is achieved through a combination of premium materials, special features and innovative sole constructions: 

Soles 
In winter as well, we design our soles with special concepts developed in-house, such as Super Flex and Extra Grip. Special TR compounds with different shore hardness levels offer a completely new foot roll action, which gives the wearer extra grip in a wide range of ground conditions, such as icy roads and snow. Multi-component soles with transverse notches make the shoes incredibly flexible and cushioning at the same time. At Pius Gabor these are called "Super Flex" and designated with a special hang tag. New for this season is a transparent section at the back of the sole, which makes for a particularly sporty accent.

Gore Tex
Gore Tex membranes are used all year round at Pius Gabor, lending the shoes breathability and a waterproof finish that stands the test of time. This guarantees first-class comfort, especially in wet and cold conditions where it’s vital to keep feet warm and dry.

Exchangeable insole 
All Pius Gabor shoes have an exchangeable insole – this keeps things hygienic, practical and comfortable. These are often made from a special latex foam, which provides optimalcushioning and high moisture wicking action.  
  
Under the insole is an additional layer of cork. This material is made from the residual cork bark which is left over from the production of wine corks. It provides a pleasant, natural climate for the foot and insulates it against both heat and cold. 

Sustainability
Pius Gabor stands for commitment to strict standards of material quality, social engagement and sustainability. The shoes combine durability with modern design and consistent use of resource-saving materials. The vast majority of leathers used at Pius Gabor are LWG (Leather Working Group) certified. 
 

 rollingsoft 
There is another dynamic creation from Gabor: rollingsoft for men. These men's shoes are based on the same technology as the successful women's models and combine the special rollingsoft feel with an attractive design for men. The colour focus for A/W 22 is blue, brown, grey and of course black.  
The sporty trainers have a specially constructed sole that supports the foot’s natural rolling action. An integrated sole stabiliser guides the rolling movement and provides greater lateral stability. 
Rollingsoft shoes are available in new designs and have special features that make them even more comfortable. They come in a wide variety: with sporty trekking models and stylish trainers, there’s something for every taste. And over-the-ankle boots are available now as well – perfect for the colder time of year. For the first time this season, the sporty shoes are also equipped with Gore Tex technology. Zips and Velcro make getting them on and off easy, and offer optimum comfort.
